Six video links below cover the following issues:

ASYNCHRONY Part 1 and Part 2…. Gifted children differ from their chronological peers. They often display disparate rates of intellectual, emotional, and physical growth and development. This asynchronous development results in unusual awareness, perceptions, and emotional responses throughout life.

ACHIEVEMENTUnderachievement is not unusual in gifted children. Many people believe that giftedness is measured by achievement and/or product. If children are not producing something, how can they be gifted?

ADAPTATIONClassroom teachers should differentiate instruction for gifted children. Adaptation at home is also necessary for gifted children.

ADVOCACY...Parents must establish rapport with schools and teachers. Cooperation with school administrators and teachers is important in helping your child to receive proper adaptations.

ANXIETY… Stress is common among parents dealing with gifted children. Gifted children may also deal with difficult and intense stress responses.
